Women! Live On Stage!

Women! Live On Stage! a brief history of women in theatre 2004

World Premiere

A famous Chinese warrior removes his beard – and is transformed into a prostitute. Rival commedia divas provoke riots in the streets of Mantua. A Japanese temple dancer dons men’s clothes and creates kabuki theatre. And an American impresario takes her show on the road, despite a Theatre Trust determined to destroy her. Marvel at these and other true stories of female theatre artists in “Women! Live On Stage!”

Presented as part of the 2004 Minnesota Fringe Festival.
