Shannon Buchda joined Theatre Unbound in 2004. She earned a BA in Music and Theater from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. While living in Wisconsin, she worked with the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan as a Master Carpenter and Electrician, the Attic Theater in Appleton as a Stage Manager and Carpenter, the Grand Opera House in Oshkosh as an Event Manager and Assistant Technical Director, and the Miss Wisconsin Scholarship Pageant as a Sound Technician. For the past four years, she has worked for Illusion Theater where she is currently the Communications Director and for the MN State Fair Entertainment Department. Her first project with Theatre Unbound was stage managing Boy Gets Girl by Rebecca Gilman in the Fall of 2003. Since then she has worked on Theatre Unbound productions in a wide variety of capacities, such as Program Design, Set Design and Construction, Costume Construction, Assistant Stage Manager, House Manager, and Sound Board Operator. She was seen as The Kid in the 2005 Fringe Festival production of Chicks in Space and Bachelorette #2 in The Best of the 24 Hour Plays during the 2006 Fringe Festival.
