Theatre Unbound delivers thought-provoking live theatre conceived and created by women, providing audiences with engaging, rarely-seen perspectives on issues that are relevant and universal.
OUR BOARD:
Nanette Stearns, Board Secretary
Ms. Stearns is a lifelong Minnesota resident, currently living in the Cathedral Hill area of St. Paul. She has been employed by Llewellyn Worldwide since 1998 and manages the editorial/design/print functions for the country’s oldest and largest new age publisher. In addition she serves on the organization’s Executive Committee and assists with strategic planning, budgeting, and policy decisions. Even better, she gets to read entertaining manuscripts, help decide which books will be published, and work with a fun and creative staff.
As a longtime theater enthusiast, she's happy to be working with Theatre Unbound to ensure women's voices are heard from the stage and elsewhere. She has also volunteered for Hennepin Theatre Trust, the Cowles Center for Dance, and other smaller performance companies. She is on the board of Quatrefoil LIbrary in Minneapolis and has been a volunteer reader for the State Services for the Blind for over 25 years.
She has a BA in International Studies and a Master’s degree in Business Communications both from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. She spends time with her partner, Marie Cooney (another long-time theater lover), her cats Hildegard von Bingen and Shiloh as well as her step-dog Rico (also known as Dog-of-Joy).
