Developed as part of our summer Big Sky program and premiered at the Heinz Poll Festival in August, Silk Road is set at the crossroads of Eastern and Western music with music of the acclaimed cellist Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble.
Norbert de la Cruz III’s haunting and mysterious Dusty Realms, which originated on last year’s Ballet Works Project makes a move to the main stage.
Finally, Sewell teams up with rapper, singer, and spoken word artist Dessa with another premiere that rides the driving pulses in Dessa’s music and dives into her poignant and challenging verse. (Set to recorded music)
