Have you binge-watched anything lately, and if so, what? I no longer even like watching an episode at a time, so I tend to get time off and binge watch all my favorite shows. Right now I am working through old episodes of Charmed.
What’s something you wish you could do on stage but have never had the chance to do? Sword fight. I took a class in rapier and dagger stage combat and no one has ever cast me in a show where I get to use a rapier.
What’s your favorite line in Measure for Measure, and why? Lucio tells Isabel “Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt”. I need this quote on a tshirt or something I can wear around every day. I am tired of living in fear that I am not good enough or letting that doubt get in the way of even attempting new things that are hard. I’m working on courage to step out and fail.
Why should people come see this show? After 400 years men are still abusing their power and women, not being prepared for it, don’t know what to do. And suddenly in this time we are starting to find our voice. We give this character new breath and remind each other that when we tell our real #metoo stories, we empower women to speak up and make change happen. Plus, seeing new types and bodies telling this story is so lovely.
